Twin Masks Performing Arts Center (TMPAC) is pleased to announce its upcoming production of Dead Man’s Cell Phone, written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Marc C. Howard. TMPAC is located at 9076 Church Street, Suites 2 and 3, in Twinsburg, Ohio. Dead Man's Cell Phone is a dark comedy that revolves around a woman named Jean who answers a ringing cell phone belonging to a man who has just died in a café. This act of compassion leads her into a web of the deceased man's mysterious past and unresolved issues. The play explores themes of morality, redemption, and isolation in a technology-driven society, highlighting how our lives are intertwined through communication devices. It premiered in 2007 and has been recognized for its imaginative storytelling and thought-provoking content. Cast includes Dylan Brown as Gordon, Emmy Cohen as Jean, Andrew Konjevich as Dwight, Madison Roe as the Mysterious/Other Woman, Kate Smith as Hermia and Debi Tinsley as Mrs. Gottlieb. Both nights are from 7pm-9pm. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No preparation required. A visitor looking to find meaning in his own life stops for breakfast and the two confront what each of their lives have lost. The question they must each answer is whether what is lost can or should be found again. And to answer their respective questions, they are drawn to people never met and long forgotten. CHARACTERS (ages of characters are noted per script suggestion; final casting will be based on audition talent pool): OLD MAN - A man in his early to mid 70's YOUNG MAN - A man in his late teens WAITRESS - A woman in her late 30's or early 40's WOMAN - A woman in her 40's WOMAN II - A woman in her mid 50's WOMAN III - A woman in her late teens This is a drama in one act. Come join us for our *Qualities of Movement Devised *workshop. This is a workshop built to embrace playfulness, get out of your head, get into your imagination, and have a good time - which is of course, always better with a group of likeminded artists. Co-founding teacher of the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium, *Cathy Albers*, will be leading an entirely new exercise of her own devising introducing new ways to approach principles and tenets of the Michael Chekhov technique. (Both newbies and veterans are welcome!) SotP ensemble member, Michael Glavan, will then lead participants in playing around with the established principles through a range of devised theatre practices. *IT'S A TWO-FOR-ONE KIND OF WORKSHOP!* While certain acting-based principles will guide some of the exercises, this workshop is great for directors, playwrights, educators, actors, and anyone else interested in getting more hands-on theatre in their life. Warhol meets a young revolutionary who throws his plans into chaos and opens the pop icon's eyes. This fictionalized portrait on this famous visit leaves the audience asking, "who was the artist and who was the revolutionary?" Written by Brent Askari, Andy Warhol in Iran is directed by local legend Sarah May. Running in the Studio Theater from October 3 through November 2, 2025, this play is presented in arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide. "Andy Warhol in Iran will resonate for anyone who cares about history. Or the present. Or the future." The Chicago Sun-Times Director Sarah May shared, "I am thrilled to bring this wonderful play to life at Beck Center!
