Four audition slots remain for this Thursday. We are particularly interested in seeing additional actors for the roles of STANLEY (he/him), MAGS (they/she), and DOLAN (they/them). See information below! UHAULIN’ is part of Test Flight 2026. Performances will take place JAN 29-31 at Cleveland Public Theatre; rehearsals to begin NOV 2025. Majority of rehearsals will be held in Akron, OH. Typical rehearsal days are WEDS, THURS, FRI evening/SAT afternoon. Actors can expect to rehearse 2-3 days/week with flexibility around holidays. Non-union production; modest stipend paid to all artists. UHAULIN’ by Tessa Gaffney directed by Kyra Kelley PLOT SYNOPSIS Uhaulin’ is a NEW PLAY that follows three couples intersecting at different stages of moving in or out of a shared apartment complex. It’s a campy (or perhaps farcical?) 90's-sitcom-esque performance project centering sapphic storylines! CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS - CATHARINE (she/her) — white femme bisexual; in the midst of a devastating breakup with VIOLET and maybe starting a thing with STANLEY; engages in onstage intimacy with STANLEY and no-contact stage combat - VIOLET (she/they) — masc lesbian, any race; handling the breakup much better than CATHARINE and is seriously flirting with her new neighbor, AMANDA - MAGS (they/she) — nonbinary, any race (used to identify as a woman, but not necessarily AFAB); in love with DOLAN and moving in after three months - DOLAN (they/them) — nonbinary, any race (used to identify as a woman, but not necessarily AFAB); in love with MAGS and moving in after three months - STANLEY (he/him) — cis man, any race; divorcing AMANDA because she has realized she's a lesbian, but they're still friends--and he is strangely drawn to the chaotic mess that is CATHARINE; engages in onstage intimacy with CATHARINE - AMANDA (she/her) — cis woman, any race; divorcing STANLEY because she has realized she's a lesbian, but they're still friends--and she is really into her new neighbor, VIOLET (is this what queerness is???)

***Last Chance to see Cesear's Forum: CANADIAN GOTHIC & AMERICAN MODERN by Joanna McClelland Glass Starring: Tricia Bestic*, Gilgamesh Taggett, Joe Milan, Graceyn Dowd, and Jonathan Duran Two one-act plays that frames an intersection of American and Canadian perspectives from 1910 to 1976 with nods to current events. These two plays share exchanges of dialog directly to the audience and then to onstage characters. The telling illuminates time, place, societal concerns and the personal struggles with a quizzical reflection of worldviews. The former concerns Saskatchewan family life on the prairie and the conflicts of a young girl in love with an indigenous native Canadian. The latter addresses middle-aged commuter suburban life and the couple's youthful scavenger relationship with tangible bric-a-brac. Twin Masks Performing Arts Center (TMPAC) is pleased to announce its upcoming production of Dead Man’s Cell Phone, written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Marc C. Howard. The play explores themes of morality, redemption, and isolation in a technology-driven society, highlighting how our lives are intertwined through communication devices. It premiered in 2007 and has been recognized for its imaginative storytelling and thought-provoking content. Cast includes Dylan Brown as Gordon, Emmy Cohen as Jean, Andrew Konjevich as Dwight, Madison Roe as the Mysterious/Other Woman, Kate Smith as Hermia and Debi Tinsley as Mrs. Gottlieb.
