INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION: Registration is now open for Talespinner Children’s Theatre’s Fall Youth Theatre Arts Classes. This upcoming session, classes are September 17th - November 12th (no classes October 15th). At TCT, your young artist will have the chance to practice confidence, collaboration, expression and to stretch their imagination muscles with TCT's professional artist staff. TCT, Cleveland's only professional theatre for children, offers three in-house Youth Theatre Arts courses per year. They take place on location at TCT, 5209 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102—a 188 seat, ADA compliant theatre located on the eastern edge of the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland's near west side. Classes are held on Saturdays for eight-week sessions and are broken down in appropriate age groups and scheduled as follows: September 17th - November 12th (no classes October 15th) Pre-School (ages 3-5) Saturdays 10-11am Kids (ages 6-10) & Early Teens (ages 11-14) Saturdays 10am-noon Through puppets, music, movement, improvisation, story-telling and acting, students develop communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and creative expression. Each session culminates with a student-created presentation for family and friends that gives kids a taste of what goes into producing and performing a show. Our in-house classes are on a set schedule, but our outreach programs tailor to the needs of the classroom, families, and family services. Dear Cleveland Theatre Community, and anyone to whom you pass on this message, We have a fast and easy job just made for wonderful theatre folk, college students getting ready to return to school, and anyone who loves flowers or staging things! Creations By Lynn, voted Scene Magazine's Cleveland's Best Florist, is looking for some help with a wedding set-up and tear-down THIS SATURDAY, August 20th at La Centre, 25777 Detroit Road in Westlake. Creations is doing the flowers for a HUGE AND VERY COOL Indian wedding which starts in the morning so we need 5-7 people as loaders and arrangers, starting at 3am Saturday morning until about 8am, and then again 2-6pm to tear down and re-arrange for the reception. Dress is comfortable (sweats, longer shorts or jeans, plain colored tee-shirts with no designs or comfortable short-sleeves, sneakers or comfortable shoes.) Pay is $8.00/hour for a minimum of 8 hours, and a maximum of 10 hours, paid out at the end of the day. Featuring such great 50's & 60's hits like"Sh-Boom", "Mambo Italiano", "Strangers in Paradise","Hey There" and lots of holiday favorites, "Plaid Tidings"is sure fire family fun for the holiday season." Show dates: November 18th through December 18th Rehearsals to be determined based on actor availability but may begin asearly as September 18th. CLAGUE PLAYHOUSE auditions begin at 7:30 pm. No appointmentis required. Headshots and resumes are always welcome and most helpful. Auditionees are asked to bring two songs of contrastingstyle that show off their vocal range.
